Repin Antokolsky: <b>Ilya Efimovich Repin (1844-1930)</b>    Portrait of the sculptor Mark Matveich Antokolsky (1843-1902) and Dimitri Ivanovich Azarevich  signed and dated 14 October 1866, pencil  <i>28.5 by 36.5cm</i>    <i>Published and exibited:</i>    <i>Ilya Efimovich Repin</i>, Centenary Exhibition held in the Tretyakov Gallery and the Russian Museum, Catalogue, Moscow 1994, illustration no. 14.      Antokolsky, the celebrated sculpture, was a friend of Repin and a fellow student at the Imperial Academy.  Azarevich, a student of Petersburg University, was destined to become a lawyer, historian and author of books on the history of Russian law.  This drawing was made while Repin worked at the Academy.
