News auktionsverket.com On the 4th of December 2014 Stockholm's Auktionsverk held its biannual Classic sale with the Russian section, as usual, curated by Russian Art Consultancy. The top lot of the Russian section, and indeed of the whole auction, was a newly discovered masterpiece by Konstantin Makovsky, Happy Arcadia. Estimated at SEK 6-8 million, it sold for SEK 10.4 million, including buyers premium (£878,000/$1.375 million/€1.1 million). The auction catalogue is available here.
